Have you ever sit down to study only to find yourself wondering on the YouTube or checking news, or your social media feed? I'm guilty of that.
That's why is essential to create the right atmosphere for your e-learning, here I will share some of my tips to optimize your learning and gain the most wanted focus during class.
Create a study routine
Get used to set your study schedule like you would do with any other activity in your day.
Evaluate in which time you are most productive and attentive for studying, if you are a morning person is better to set your learning in the morning and if you find more calm at the evening set your time for the night. Make sure that the time you assign for learning won't be cut off by appointments, visits or any other distractions. Sleep well or take a rest after work to ensure a good mood.
Turn off distractions
It is important to create a quiet environment so that you can fully concentrate in what you are watching, listen and practicing, in order to do that go to a quiet place away from noise, turn off the t.v. or radio, use headphones to cut down if you have children at home engage them in a useful activity that will keep them busy for the time you need to attend your lesson.

Keep Notifications Off
Or at least to the minimum, disable pop outs, silence reminders and alarms, put your mobile phone on "Do not disturb" mode. In this way you are neutralizing your study time and by choosing to retire from the word at least for the period your lesson takes place will help you to assimilate the knowledge conveyed in your class.
Know Yourself
Identifying your strengths and weaknesses can help you squash off distractions, everyone is different and what might be a distraction for someone may not bother other person. For instance if you are prone to sing along the lyrics of the songs, music can be a serious distraction for you. If you're a very social person trying to keep up with messages and social media notifications could be a big stone for your concentration. Measure your self and block whatever will take you out of focus.
Education is so important and it should be treated as an important part of your life. A little forethought and preparation to prevent distractions can go a long way in securing your success as an online student.
